Kings Ferry Connections specialise in ground transportation for Educational Institutions. As part of The Kings Ferry Group, we have been providing transport solutions to teachers and group leaders for the past 60 years organising a variety of trips; from ski tours, to inter-campus shuttles and days out to UK attractions.
We are the chosen transport provider for Schools, Colleges and Universities.

Safety is of paramount importance to us, it is one of our five company values and resonates throughout every aspect of our business. Our “Driving out Harm” scheme, which is part of a nationwide program, provides safety training for drivers, engineers and for staff on our sites.
Each of our drivers are DBS compliant and go through a rigorous selection procedure to ensure only those with exceptional customer service skills join our team. Should you require enhanced DBS checks on our drivers we can arrange this for you and assign them to your account.
Alcolock units are fitted in our entire fleet. This system requires a driver to blow a clear sample of breath into an analyser machine in order to start the vehicle. We have a zero tolerance alcohol and drug policy, we regularly undertake spot checks on every department from drivers to office management to ensure no-one has traces, should they fail the checks they will be immediately dismissed.
Each vehicle undergoes rigorous and regular safety inspections, including a “first use” inspection every morning before departure. To further enhance the safety of our coaches all our vehicles are fitted with CCTV and tracking devices making sure no stone is unturned. All our drivers are trained in the technique of defensive driving.
Our network planners have the ability to create the best routes based on demand, create contingency routes, change routes and shuttle timetables at short notice and provide route risk assessments. While our 24/7 operations team have access to the on-time performance tracking on each of the coaches, ensuring each one is running on schedule and informing the institutes and drivers should any delays arise along the journey.

Our dedicated account managers have a wealth of experience when it comes to arranging transport for the education sector, saving you time, stress and money. We offer detailed Management Information (MI) reporting on passenger numbers, costs, CO2 emissions, mileage and any issues that may arise. We also provide a Service Level Agreement detailing our commitment to provide the requested vehicles, replace vehicles in the event of a breakdown within 1 hour, scalability and flexibility should changes occur.
We currently run shuttle services at three Universities and offer the option of creating a dedicated app for students and staff. The app provides real-time shuttle tracking, timetables and service updates.

Eton House School
Our work with Eton House School consisted of us purchasing a new 70 seater bus to dedicate solely to this contract. The contract involves us transporting students to a scheduled timetable, operating Monday to Friday with a dedicated pool of drivers to ensure familiarity for students, staff and drivers alike. All drivers have enhanced DBS checks and are subject to the necessary safeguarding training to ensure they comply with the school’s child protection policies.
This particular vehicle is fitted with all our standard telematics and both internal and external CCTV allowing us to review any incident efficiently should it become necessary. The tracking system allows our operations team to know where the vehicle is at any time and if there are delays to the service that the school is informed at all times. The vehicle telematics on board ensure that the driving style and efficiency of each journey is recorded and monitored internally ensuring safety is paramount for the passengers.
As part of this contract we also provide all of the schools ad-hoc requirements such as school trips, tours and sports day transport utilising our private hire fleet.
This contract has just completed its third year and has been extended for a further year.
This contract involved a school relocation for one year requiring transport for students between the original site and the temporary relocation site. We provided up to 7 full size coaches a day for this, working to schedules provided by the school. We were also required to transport students to Kings College Sports Ground for their sports lessons.
This contract also has a dedicated account manager who has been with the business for over 10 years, ensuring stability for the client.
